The Chorale holds open enrollment for prospective new members at the beginning of September and again in January. Membership in the Chorale is open to all adults in the area who enjoy singing and are willing to commit to regular weekly rehearsals.
Rehearsals are held Monday evenings from 7:15 to 9:15 in the Choir Room of Front Street United Methodist Church, 136 S. Fisher St. in Burlington.
Membership dues are $30 per year. In addition, members are expected to provide a black music folder and provide appropriate concert attire (see below). Financial aid for these items is available in cases of hardship.
An audition is not required for membership, but new members will be asked to sing for the director so that they can be placed in the appropriate voice sections. Having a good sense of pitch, along with some music reading ability and previous choral experience are definite assets.
