A Choral Society in Burlington, North Carolina
Organized in 1974, The Alamance Chorale celebrates over 30 years of singing and fellowship in the Burlington- Alamance community. The Chorale specializes in sacred and classical music, but its repertoire includes selections from Broadway musicals and popular composers, traditional folk songs, spirituals and madrigals. Membership in The Alamance Chorale is open to anyone who enjoys singing choral music. The goal of The Chorale is "to provide music appreciation as well as music education to the citizens of Alamance County and surrounding areas." In the spring the Chorale produces a dinner show as a fundraiser. Chorale members plan, prepare and serve a formal dinner in a lovely and gracious atmosphere of fine dining and then entertain their audience with a variety of light and easy-listening music.
